元初張炎作《詞源》,稱許姜夔詞「清空」,又謂「如野雲孤飛,去留無述」,後世學者多承襲此說,亦有擴充至兼攝白石的為人,說他有從容閒雅的質性,又有孤高峭拔的標格。這樣的看法未嘗無理,但細察姜夔其人其文,終身寥落的清客生涯,種種難以言宣的萬不得已之情,其實在他的詞作中時時隱現,只是歷來論者多未深究而已。本文從〈卜算子〉梅花八詠說起,試析其中心境,以見出姜夔詞的情性與風度。 |

In his book ”The Origins of Ci poetry,” Zhang Yan lauded the purity and spirituality of Jiang Kui's Ci, describing them ”as the wild cloud's solitary flight, coming and going without a trace.” Since then, most scholars have adopted this viewpoint, and others have expanded the notion to Jiang's personality, saying that he was relaxed and unhurried, with a loftiness equal to the lonely heights of high mountains. These claims are not without reason, yet when we examined the details of Jiang's person and writings, we can actually find among his Ci references to the emptiness and aimlessness of his life, in which he underwent inexpressible hardships, under circumstances beyond his control. Few literary critics have explored this aspect of Jiang. In this paper, Jiang's hidden personality and implicit style are explored based on his rendition of the melody ”Pu Shuan Zi” in his ”Eight Odes to Plum Blossoms.” |
