As poetry reveals the mind of the poets, it often presents a panorama of the writer's inner landscape. This study, thus, aims to examine the contemporary Chinese philosopher Lao Xi-Kung's (勞思光) literary work, Wei-Chai Ci(韋齋詞), to delineate this great thinker's creative world that presents a telling difference from his already well-known philosophical theories. This study is divided into four main parts: first, the purpose and the value of this study; second, the interpretation of the text; third, the style, subject matter, and characteristics of the work; fourth, the exploration of transcendence and emancipation contained in the work.
