英文摘要

The current study delineates the incorporation of an electronic forum into a teacher education course in a teachers college in Taiwan. During the spring semester of 2005, students who enrolled in a course titled ”EFL Teaching Methods & Materials at the Primary School Level” took turns to initiate topics for discussion on the forum. As indicated by the results from an attitude survey, students generally viewed this experience positively. They also reported some problems related to the forum features, technology, and quantity and quality of discussions. Along with the problems, they also offered some suggestions on how to make the future incorporation of an electronic forum into the same course more successful. It is hoped that the results of the current study will encourage teacher educators to consider the possibility of integrating technology into teacher education.
