If, when juvenile delinquency initially occurred, the young delinquent's friend, family, community, or people who are concerned could have been more careful and supportive, this power of affection would have pulled them out of behavioral deviation, keeping them from sinking into vicious abyss and thus to upgrade to set out a better course of like.By random sampling a pool of young un-violent convicts in Taipei Juvenile Custody Home, this survey conducts a quality research by interviewing the selected six juvenile (three male and three female). The research shows that these young convicts were well-behaved and had no inclination of committing crime during their childhood. Not until their grade school education did the symptoms of disobedience become obvious and thus initiate behavioral deviation. Provided that their school, family, peer, and themselves all failed to foresee the seriousness within and to accordingly improve effectively, the situation turned to be worst in their junior high school period during which they committed their very first crime. Moved by the love their family, friends, and mentors keep sending to them, the young convicts with full gratitude suddenly realized what they had done wrong and requested for another opportunity to make up for it.The findings of this survey would provide a helpful perspective in correcting deviated behavior of adolescent. As the findings uncover, emphasis of guiding the un-violent juvenile delinquent should be put, instead of on how to correct their wayward behavior, but on how to encourage, praise, recognize, and express solicitude to them. All of the caring could build up their own confidence and perseverance, and to bring their potential to the full extent. In addition to that, guiding mentors should help them getting back to the right track from failure, confronting with reality, making self-evaluation, discovering, knowing, and adjusting themselves. As long as they are given a chance to know themselves all over again and thus to make adjustment, their behavioral deviation and passive self-concept will be eliminated. A education worker or guiding mentor devoted to helping the juvenile delinquent should make this vicious circle of behavioral deviation short circuit as a fundamental solution. Mentors are expected to help them tracing down the cause of negative emotion (such as accidents in family and school or clashes with parents) and operating recognition and emotion cure. Meanwhile, mentors could help the adolescent in question to strengthen their self recognition, to find their talent, to enhance their ability to cope with incidents. And the last but not least, mentors should give them encouragement, care, and praise.
