The scholars in Ming Dynasty were very keen on Publishing their own books. This article tried to discover their lives of reading and books editing through a cultural dimension. The full text were structured within six parts. The first part is Preface. The second part, Concentrating on Writings and Flourishing the School, probed into the background of the Ming authors. The third part, Taking Notes, discussed on the influence of taking notes while reading. The forth part, Editing Books as Series, discovered how the Ming Scholars dealt with the works of the predecessors and their own. The fifth part, Indexing Book Collection, is about how the library worked for their book collections. Then the final part, Conclusion.
