目的:探討肥胖者在運動自覺量表指數(rating of perceived exertion, RPE)為15的強度下,進行橢圓機(Elliptical cross-trainer, ET)與跑步機(Treadmill, TM)運動,對能量消耗及血清肌酸激酶的效應。方法:招募11名自願參與的大專男性肥胖(BMI= 29.74 ± 1.8公斤/公尺^2)學生為研究對象。所有參與者依平衡次序原則,分別進行一次30 分鐘橢圓機與跑步機強度為RPE15的運動測驗(檢測時間間隔7天),測驗中以氣體分析系統(Vmax29, SensorMedics, California, USA)記錄攝氧量(VO_2)、心跳率(HR)、呼吸交換率(RER)及換氣量(VE),並在運動前、運動後立即及運動後24小時抽血檢測血清肌酸激酶之活性。結果:橢圓機在相同RPE15運動強度下的VO_2(25.94 ± 4.72 ml/kg/min vs 33.20 ± 5.70 ml/kg/min)、HR(162 ± 14 beat/min vs 172 ± 13 beat/min)及能量消耗(341.26 ± 67.53 kcal vs 420.90 ± 56.03 kcal)均顯著低於跑步機 (p<.05),但RER(0.90 ± 0.04 vs 0.89 ± 0.03)及VE(24.05 L/min ± 2.46 vs 24.42 ± 1.97 L/min)則無顯著差異,另外,跑步機運動後24小時的血清肌酸激酶活性(392 ± 238 U/L)也顯著高於橢圓機(231 ± 96 U/L)(p<.05)。結論:在相同自覺強度下,相較於橢圓機運動,肥胖者進行跑步機運動時有較高的能量消耗及可能造成較大程度的肌肉損傷。 |

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the physiological responses (oxygen uptake, VO_2、heart rate, HR、respiratory exchange ratio, RER、minute ventilation, VE) between elliptical trainer (ET) and treadmill (TM) exercise at the same ratings of perceived exertion gauged intensities of 15 (RPE15) ,and compare the muscle damage marker-serum creatine kinase in obese subjects. Method: To recruit eleven obese male college students as subjects (BMI≧27) underwent a 30-min RPE15 exercise protocol of ET and TM with counter-balance (separated by one week). The VO_2、HR、RER and VE data were recorded using gas analyzers. Creatine kinase (CK) activity were tested before, immediately after and 24 hours after exercise. Result: According to the paired sample T-test, the VO_2 (33.20 ± 5.70 ml/kg/min vs 25.94 ± 4.72 ml/kg/min), HR (172 ± 13 beats/min vs 162 ± 14 beats/min), energy expenditure (420.90 ± 56.03 kcal vs 341.26 ± 67.53 kcal) were higher (p<.05) on the TM compared to the ET. But RER (0.90 ± 0.04 vs 0.89 ± 0.03) and VE (24.05 L/min ± 2.46 vs 24.42 ± 1.97 L/min) were no significant difference (p>.05) of ET and TM under RPE-gauged intensities of 15. In the results from two-way repeated measures ANOVA, there were significant difference in CK activity (p<.05) at 24 hours after exercise. Conclusion: The effect of muscle damage in treadmill exercise was larger than elliptical exercise when the obese subjects exercise under the same RPE- gauged intensities of 15. However, the physiological response in treadmill has significant larger effect than elliptical trainer. |
