新莊區新住民之環境識覺與地方認同研究

近來新住民議題廣受重視，許多研究也都針對其生活適應、婚姻關係、社會適應及子女教養等面向進行探討；政府相關單位為因應新住民日益增加現象，也紛紛提供新住民各項關於華語教育、生活適應輔導、技職輔導等課程，然而這些應對方式多半從臺灣人的立場去思考，新住民們扮演的往往只是被動接受者的角色。事實上，台灣自古以來就是一個移民的社會。早期來台開墾先民，或由許多族群組成、各自有一套認同的依據，但隨著時間的磨合淬鍊，大多早已認同自己是台灣一家人。然對近幾年才加入的台灣社會的外籍配偶和移民來說，此地的生活環境是否如他們想像並令他們滿意？在新莊除了以婚姻之名而成為家庭中的一份子，其內心是否也認同自己是屬於這個生活所在地的ㄧ份子？這些令人感到好奇的問題是促成本研究的主因。故本研究嘗試從新住民主動的觀點出發，以居住在新莊區並就讀補校的新住民為研究對象，採量化研究方式、以問卷調查來蒐集相關資料，從中探究新莊的新住民們之環境識覺的態度和地方認同情形，以及其環境識覺和地方認同之關聯性。

The issues on new inhabitants are getting increasing attention nowadays. A large literature has explored their adjustment to new environment and society, marriage and childrearing. The authority concerned has provided courses about Mandarin, environmental adaptation and vocational consultation to assist them. However, all the policies are considered in Taiwanese's point of views, the new inhabitants can only be the receivers. Taiwan has long being a society of immigrants. Previous immigrants might consist of different people and develop certain values. Most of the previous immigrants have considered themselves as Taiwanese. For the foreign spouses and immigrants, is the reality consistent with their previous imagination? Are they satisfied with the new life? Living with the family, do they have the sense of belonging? These questions motivate this survey. The new inhabitants who studied at a continuation school in Xinzhung took part in this study. Data on the New Inhabitants' attitudes toward environmental perception and local identity were elicited by means of questionnaires.
