本研究著重於英國萊斯特New Walk博物館的中國陶瓷收藏，探討其收藏背景，包含這些器物何時被博物館收藏，為何博物館要收藏或購買這些陶瓷以及博物館是如何管理、經營這些器物。本研究也會介紹目前一些中國陶瓷所展於館內的世界藝術區及其成立背景。此研究亦探討這些中國陶瓷於博物館的發展與現況，包含博物館目前對此收藏的方針及規劃，亦會對其提出其優、缺點及改善和建議。
