體適能與學業成就在傳統學術研究被區分為兩個不同性質的領域,近年來許多研究發現體適能與學業成就有正相關,本文旨在透過國內、外相關文獻的探討,分析體適能與學業成就的關係,並依文獻提出體適能有益於學業成就的可能性觀點,以強化體育課程在學校的地位,改變國人只重視智育而不重視體育的教育價值觀。
