體驗教育已被確認為能有效提升學生學習成長的方法之一,而山野戶外式的生活體驗更有助於參與者的心智成長。本文旨在說明作者如何將其在明志工專所帶領的畢業旅行「曲冰拓荒」經驗轉化為「1993嘉義農場小神童原始夏令營」的規劃與執行,進而催生了華梵大學的「原始生活教育社(原生社)」和「中華民國原始生活教育學會(原生會)」的成立,而有「小神童原始生活體驗營」的誕生。此一體驗營前後舉辦五十梯隊左右,除了讓參與學童從做中學、遊中學、與玩中學中觀察、體驗、感受與表現外,更在「回歸自然、相互依存、關心別人、照顧自己」的宗旨下,培養學童知所感恩、積極上進。而參與的大學生則成長最多,無論是在人際互動、團隊合作、生活技能、領袖養成、以及人格教育等方面都有顯著的效應。此種以大專教師、志工以及學童為主的多層次體驗營模式堪稱為大學社會責任(USR)的先河,值得推廣。

英文摘要

Experiential education has been confirmed as one of the effective methods that can improve students' learning and growth, and the outdoor living experience in the mountains is more conducive to the mental growth of the participants. The purpose of this paper is to explain how the author transformed his experience of the graduation trip "Qubing Pioneering" led by the Ming Chi Institute of Technology into the planning and implementation of the "1993 Chiayi Farm Little Prodigy Original Summer Camp", which in turn gave birth to the "Original Life Education Club (Original Life Club)" of Huafan University " and "The Chinese Original Life Society (Original Life Society) " were established, and there was the birth of "Little Prodigy Original Life Experience Camp." This experience camp has held about 50 echelons. Besides allowing participating elementary school children observing, experiencing, feeling, and expressing through learning by doing, learning by traveling, and learning by playing, it also cultivates students to be grateful and motivated under the tenet of "returning to nature, interdependence, caring for others, and taking care of oneself". The effects of the interpersonal interaction, teamwork, life skills, leadership development, and personality education on the participating college students are significant. This kind of multi-level experience camp model mainly composed of college teachers, volunteers and school children can be regarded as the first of its kind in University Social Responsibility (USR), and it is worth promoting.
