本文探討台灣最近六年以來,蓬勃發展的另類高等教育「社區大學」,目前已經有六十九所,每年參與選課學員人數超過十萬人,並且仍然持續增加之中。社區大學「知識解放與公民社會」的宗旨要如何落實,則有賴其課程的設計,特別是社大通識課程的實踐。但是社區大學發展至今,課程方面產生實用生活藝能課程獨大,學術與社團課程萎縮的市場化傾斜現象。要如何改善此一現況,本文提出社區大學通識教育課程的實踐策略包括:一、社區大學通識教育課程選課規定;二、社區大學核心課程的推動;三、透過公共論壇落實通識教育課程精神;四、藉由社區參與作為通識教育課程實踐場域;五、採取學程設計深化通識教育課程廣度。總之,社區大學理念的堅持與通識教育課程的實踐,將是社區大學未來存續的關鍵。 |
英文摘要 |
The objective of this paper is mainly about the growing of the higher education system, ”the community college” in the past six years in Taiwan. Up till this moment, there are totally sixty-nine community colleges in Taiwan with above one hundred thousand students, which are still increasing every year. The implementation of the community colleges' mission statement -- liberalizing the dissemination of knowledge and civil society, depends on their course design, especially on the practice of general education curriculum of community colleges. However, the development of community colleges has become mainly focused on the life skill curriculum while the academic and the community curriculum have been withered. To improve such current conditions, this paper provides strategies of practicing general education curriculum for community colleges, including: 1. Registration rules of general education curriculum, 2. The promotion of core curriculum, 3. Implementing the general curriculum spirits through holding public forum, 4. Practice general curriculum in community participation, and 5. Expand the span of general curriculum by designing study programs in community colleges. In sum, the idea insistence and practice of general curriculum in community colleges will be crucial to their future survival. |
