身體任何部位的反常現象，必定都代表著一種病態已經發生。腳部水腫也當然不例外。西醫的理論是：當細胞運動之後所產生的二氧化碳無法由靜脈帶走，又與體內的氫離子混合，便成了水，積留在體內，所以輕微的腳水腫大多偏向不處理，等靜脈的活力恢復時，水腫自然會消失。 中醫的觀點則認爲是經絡中經水氣化不足所導致，這是基於陰陽理論的天人合一思想。本文便是從穴道的名稱解釋腳部水腫的原因，與治療的方法。此外本文又顯示了中醫也有微觀的分析，只是它從另一個不同於西醫的角度去審視生命現象。同時對於過去模稜兩可的含糊說法，希望能有所突破，讓對生命學有興趣的研究者，能從中醫理古人所說的天人合一有更多一些的瞭解。

The abnormal physical situation in different part of body is the symptom of disease. The edema of foot is a good example. In western medical theories, the CO2 produced after the cell's motivation can not move forward to vein and mix with Hydrogen to become water. This water stays in body. So, doctor prone to not to deal with the light edema. The foot edema will disappear when the vein works efficiently. in Chinese medical theory, the edema is caused by the lack of qi of water in meridian. This is based on the theory of yin-yang and the theory of unification of human and cosmos. The edema of foot means that the qi in body is in an unbalance situation. This article also introduces the use of occupants. With the systematic discussion of accupoints, we can have better understanding to edema. By stimulation some accupoints, the situation of edema will reduce and the improve health.
