近年來政府一直進行各單位的數位典藏計劃,已經有了一定的成績。而在數位典藏計劃中各單位由於前人的經驗,大都以Epson輸出為收藏樣本,作為日後印刷或各用途之依據。這當然是由於Epson一直標榜其材料是百年不退色及抗光防水油墨的關係,另外Epson的品質是無容置疑的,八色噴墨的色彩豐富,比一般印刷還鮮艷,相對的價格也較昂貴。一才的原廠紙及原裝墨水就要100-130元,對很多第一線的工作者來說,是非常昂貴的。所以如果市面上有其他可以替代的產品,又有非常好的品質的話,對第一線的工作者來說自然是利多的消息。以目前的情況,HP及全錄等分別發展數位印刷,而且品質漸有進步,HP Indigo Press 5000、Xerox DocuColor 8000,印刷品質亦是非常銳利與鮮艷。本研究以國立臺灣歷史博物館「日本時代臺灣地圖」數位典藏計畫案已通過審查之數位檔案及輸出品為例,採實驗法,使用(X-Rite spectrodensitometer)反射式分光濃度計量測IT8.7/3彩色導表的L(上标 *)a(上标 *)b(上标 *)值與ISO12647-2之印刷標準值作比較,測驗數位印刷的色彩是否已達到一定的程度,並以數位印刷輸出解析度量表,來比較其視覺解析度。 |

In recent years, Taiwan government is working on many digital archiving projects that have reached many progresses. However, most of projects rely on the Epson ink-jet output for the archiving and proofing purpose. That's because Epson's superior color quality and the company claim that the color is waterproof and can last at least 100 years without fading. The Epson's 8 colors ink system produces brighter color than any other ink system. But the cost is also expensive. For an A4 output with Epson certified paper and inks, the cost normally between NT$100-130. On the other hand, the cost of digital printer output (for example HP and Xerox that also produce great color) is much lower. If we can find other product that has the same quality but cheaper price, it will be a great news for those workers. This research is using the National History Museum's ”Taiwan ancent Japanness map” digital book reservation program as an example. The color of both Epson 9800 and Xerox DocuColor 8000 was measured by using IT8.7/3 color target. The ISO12647-2 standard printed values were used as the reference. The resolution targets are also outputted by each printer. The results show the Xerox DocuColor 8000 has the capability to achieve the same quality as the Epson 9800 in both color and resolution |
