台灣華文出版模式自2001年起，隨著國際上逐漸發展出的電子書數位內容和閱讀器開啟話題。但期間一直圍繞著數位格式、內容加密、市場獲利模式、對紙本書獲利的衝擊和閱讀器的選擇等議題，而遲疑不決並採取保守觀望的態度。直到智慧型手機和Apple的iPhone、iPad在國際造成新一波閱讀習慣的風潮後，出版業才從先紙本後數位，積極發展為目前EP同步的方向進行。但在發展的過程中，所出現的各類型數位出版品內容，從類紙本編排的靜態內容、到互動式多媒體出版，其信息資源的製作和儲存模式，與紙本書出版的架構已截然不同。針對出版業的轉變，以擁有大批文獻和圖書資源提供讀者閱讀服務的圖書館，其因應的模式極為先進。從研究圖書館業因應數位內容出版模式的信息資源製作和儲存方式的演進，更清楚了解閱讀市場的需求和內容的再利用的發展。

Taiwan's Chinese-language publishing model, with the progressive development of international digital content e-books out and open the topic of readers, since 2001. But the period has been around a digital format, content encryption, the market revenue model, the impact on the profitability of paper and the book reader of choice and other issues. Until smart phones and Apple's iPhone, iPad in international reading habits caused a wave of new wave, the publishing industry after only a few from the first position paper, positive developments for the current electronic format and paper publish synchronization. The information resources, production and storage model, the structure of the book was published with the paper have very different. Change for the publishing industry in order to have a large number of literature and library resources to provide library services to readers, and its pattern of response to highly advanced. From the research library sector in response to published models of digital content production and storage of information resources development of the methods, better understanding of the reading market demand and content re-use development.
