本量表主要在於快速篩檢國小二、三年級有視覺搜尋困難的學生，內容包括符號比較10題、視覺區辨40題、數字符號配對60題、視覺符號搜尋60題，共計有170題。施測時間約需30分鐘。本量表以分層隨機抽取台北市二、三年級的普通班學生647人，其內部一致性α係數為.993；間隔3－4週的重測信度為.743，達.01的顯著水準，顯見本量表具良好穩定性，同時提供有內容和建構效度，並建立百分等級和T分數常模。
