This study targets at wives who are Yunnan-Burma soldier's dependants living in military dependents' villages(the villages of Bowangxincun、Dingyuanxincun、 Shoutingxincun) at Qingjing Farm in Nantou County. The method adopted by the study is face-to-face interview for collecting material what focuses on real life experience of the intercultural marriage among the dependants. The two research goals are: first, to complete male-oriented military history with female perspective and life history on the background of soldier's dependants; second, to reconsider the difference of nation and self-identity between Yunnan-Burma soldiers and their dependants, which the two are used to be seen as a unity. Under a series of changes, like war, relocation, and tourism development, the diversity of life of Yunnan-Burma soldiers and their dependants is deserved to be reviewed. Through the study, the immigrant experience of intercultural marriage of these target women can be fully realized, including their viewpoints, the outer meaning, about going across national borders and their relationship to the international environment, as well as the changes, the inner meaning, from life styles to cultural identity.
