The purpose of this study was to reflect upon the often seen unpleasant issues in sport such as overemphasizing winning, neglecting health, gambling and cheating, under-performing and self-blaming, and the phenomena which go against the pleasure of doing sport. With the interpretation of Vijnanamatra, annotation was employed and four conclusions were inferred in this study: 1. the essence of sport is pleasure, doing sport for winning or money is not considered sport; 2. competition is inevitable, overemphasizing the result is considered competition but not sport; 3. Over interference with sport by an external environment can easily create a barrier for the joy of sport; 4. Establishing correct values in sport through physical education is an important and urgent issue.
