朱洗（1900-1962），當代著名生物學家、科普作家。1920 年，參加留法勤工儉學。1931 年，獲法國國家博士學位。1932 年回國，從此研究、寫作不輟。1945 年日本投降後國立臺灣大學成立，於理學院設有動物學系。朱洗應臺大代理校長羅宗洛校長之邀，1946 年8 月出任動物學系首任系主任。1949 年元月，循寒暑假赴上海料理北平研究院上海生理研究所事務之往例離臺，但未再返。朱洗在臺期間有不少成就，如完成《維他命與人類之健康》一書，指導動物系第一位畢業生袁柏偉完成關於「蛙卵水份的增加和成熟的關係」之學士論文等。惜少為大陸之科學史研究者言及。筆者等因地利之便草成此文，以補充目前有關朱洗研究之不足。

Tchou Su (1900-1962) was a famous biologist and popular science writer of modern China. He went to France to enroll in a work-study programme in 1920, and received the ＂Doctorat d'Etat＂ degree in 1931. He returned to China in 1932, and took up research and writing as his career unceasingly since then. In November 1945, after the surrender of Japan to Allies, National Taiwan University was established. Dr. Tchou accepted the appointment as the first head of the Department of Zoology in the August of 1946. Following the usual practice, he left for Shanghai in January 1949 to work in Shanghai Institute of physiology, National academy of Peiping, during the semester break. However, he was not back to Taipei ever since. During his two-year stay in Taiwan, Dr. Tchou had a lot of achievements. For examples, he completed the book “Vitamins and Human Health” and instructed Yuan Bowei, the first undergraduate student of the Department of Zoology, to complete the research on the relationship between increasing water contents and maturation of frog eggs for the BS thesis. Unfortunately, these achievements have rarely been mentioned in mainland China. This paper was written to supplement the deficiency.
