本文以19世紀和算家齋藤宜義的《算法圓理鑑》為例,探討19世紀初期和算問題的發展與特色。《算法圓理鑑》中將數學問題分成8類,收錄了36個數學問題與答案。同時,本書中所收錄的問題,許多是為了修改前人著作所出現的邪術或迂遠術,並重新創造出正確的術或是較簡捷的術。這延續、呼應了18世紀末期關流數學家與會田安明數學論戰過程的特色,也反應和算文化脈絡下,和算家從事數學知識活動時的特有價值觀與審美觀。 |
英文摘要 |
In this article, I take Sato Nobuyoshi' Sampo Yenrikan as an example to discuss the development of mathematic problems and related characteristics of Wasan in Early 19th century. In Sampo Yenrikan, Sato Nobuyoshi included 36 mathematic problems with related answers and he divided these problems into 8 categories. In this book, Sato Nobuyoshi modified the Jutsu, the formulas or algorithms, in the predecessors' work and created a right Jutsu or simple one, and then he embodied these mathematic problems and related answers, Jutsu, in Sampo Yenrikan. This characteristics was continued from the debate process between the mathematicians in the Seki school and Aida Yasuaki in the late 18th century. It also reflects the unique values and aesthetics in the context of Wasan as those mathematicians engaging in mathematics knowledge activities. |
