近二十餘年來,從中國大陸與東南亞地區移入臺灣的人口日益增多,其中又以女性婚姻移民占絕大多數。這些新移入者及其子女已成為臺灣人口組成的重要成分,使臺灣的社會和人文樣貌更為多元。 遺憾的是,臺灣社會中卻充滿了對新移民及其子女的刻板印象與偏見,也使學校的多元文化教學面臨新的挑戰。要回應上述新型態族群刻板印象與偏見的挑戰,傳統的講述教學法顯然不足,發展其他可行、有效的替代性創新教學法,已成為攸關多元文化教育目標實現的必要努力。 在可能的替代性教學方法中,案例教學法是值得研究的其中一項。因為,案例教學強調運用生活中真實的案例作為教學內容,以敘事體的方式呈現案例,透過學生主動學習與課堂互動討論,學習與教學主題相關的概念,並教導學生傾聽和尊重他人意見,提升批判思考及問題解決的能力。緣此,本文首先將簡介案例教學法,其次呈現多元文化案例教學的實例,並檢視多元文化案例教學的結果與可能限制。 |
英文摘要 |
In recent years, new immigrants from mainland China and Southeast Asia have become an important component of Taiwan's population. As a result, Taiwan's society has become more culturally diverse than ever before. Unfortunately, rigid stereotypes and serious prejudices against new immigrants, particularly female immigrants, persist in Taiwan. These same stereotypes and biases also present a challenge for the teaching practice of multicultural education. The traditional lecture approach is no longer suitable for meeting this new challenge. Therefore, it is necessary for all educators in this field in Taiwan to seek alternative teaching methods. Among possible alternatives, the case-based teaching method seems to be a very promising one. Hence, this article will first introduce this teaching method and its application in actual classroom settings. It will then present an analysis of the benefits and limitations of the case-based teaching method. |
