本研究目的為探討遊戲式運動對衰弱前期老人身體功能、運動自我效能與運動享樂感的影響。招募苗栗市2間社區活動中心20位衰弱前期老人,隨機分派至遊戲運動組或有氧運動組。遊戲式運動將遊戲元素融入有氧、肌力、平衡等訓練中,強調趣味性、社交性和低競技性。有氧運動為配合音樂節拍,進行四肢連續且有節奏的運動。運動介入前後檢測身體功能,包括10m走路測試、坐站5次、兩腳前後站和功能性前伸。12週介入後填寫運動自我效能與運動享樂感問卷,以曼-惠特尼U檢定驗證變化量之組間差異。結果顯示:遊戲運動組呈現顯著改善,而有氧運動組則呈現改善趨勢但未達顯著差異。兩組前後測變化量在功能性前伸達到組間顯著差異。此外,遊戲運動組之運動自我效能與運動享樂感皆顯著高於有氧運動組。本研究結論:融入遊戲元素的運動訓練能促進衰弱前期老人的身體功能,且顯著影響其運動自我效能與運動享樂感,提升運動動機。

英文摘要

The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of game-based exercise on physical function, exercise self-efficacy and exercise enjoyment of the pre-frail elderly. A total of 20 pre-frail elders were recruited from two community care centers in Miaoli City, and randomly assigned them into game-based exercise group or aerobic exercise group. The game-based exercise program, which integrated game elements into aerobic exercise, muscle strengthening, and balance training were designed to emphasize fun, sociability and low competition. Aerobic exercise program was a continuous and rhythmic exercise of the limbs in accordance with the music rhythm. Both groups completed the assessments of physical functions, including 10-m walk test, 5 times sit to stand test, tandem stand test, and functional reach test before and after the training. The questionnaires of exercise self-efficacy and exercise enjoyment were completed after 12-week training. The Mann-Whitney U test was used to examine the group differences. Results showed that the game-based exercise group had a significant improvement. The aerobic exercise group showed tendency in improvement, although they did not reach statistically significant differences. However, there was a significant difference between the groups in the pre-post change of functional reach test. In addition, the exercise self-efficacy and exercise enjoyment scores of the game-based exercise group were significantly higher than that of the aerobic exercise group. Based these findings, we concludes that the game-based exercise training can promote physical function of the elderly in the early stage of frailty. Furthermore, game-based exercise training influenced the exercise self-efficacy and exercise enjoyment of elderly, and enhanced their motivation for exercise.
