傳統喪禮儀式在哀傷諮商的省思和啟發

儀式和我們的生活經驗有密切關聯，不受嚴謹治療理論建構的限制，可用在許多治療模式當中。儀式普遍有兩種功能，即可以促進生活的轉化和轉化新的自我認同。晚近美國學者對於將儀式應用到諮商與心理治療領域，越來越重視。尤其將死亡相關儀式用於哀傷諮商，深受學者與實務工作者重視。世界上各種族群或許對於死亡與哀悼持不同的文化觀，但是不論其喪禮儀式繁簡，目的都在用來處理面對死亡的艱難時刻。喪禮提供表達對死者的感受和想法的機會，有促進哀傷過程的功能。由於喪禮可以反映一個社會或族群對死亡與哀傷的文化和基本信念。華人傳統喪禮時間較長，儀式繁複，且存在久遠，必有其存在價值與原因。故本文主要透過文獻探討，深入我們的傳統喪禮，以找尋可能與哀傷諮商相關的療癒性元素。結果獲得十項重要療癒相關元素。尤其傳統喪禮儀式中最特殊，也是最核心之處，在於將死者進行角色轉化，使得死者得以繼續存在家族系統，為華人文化所特有。根據前述結論，建議可以將相關療癒元素作為運用在非複雜性哀傷諮商之參考。同時建議採取實徵研究，嘗試使用角色轉化儀式的活動，來協助哀傷者將內在客體角色和意象進行轉化，以了解其促進復原之功能。
