隨著醫療科技、學習方式、疾病型態與生活方式的改變，而學校護理人員是學校衛生工作的尖兵，因此必須確實落實疾病預防及健康促進的觀念，以提升學生之健康，這也使學校護理師在校園推動健康生活方面有著更具體的依據與使命。學校是人類一生中很重要的學習場所，學校衛生工作以維護學生健康為最大目標，期以培養學生良好的健康習慣，及養成終身的健康行為，因此學校護理師的專業是可以深深影響與修正學童的健康習慣，學校護理師的角色與功能不容被忽視，應被重新界定，以使發揮真正最大的功能。本文主要藉由文獻查證及筆者在小學校園的學校護理實務工作經驗的反思，整理出在校園推動學校護理師進階制度的必要性以及其角色與能力之定位，希望本文能夠帶給正在校園推動學校衛生護理的夥伴們一個拋磚引玉的作用。基於此，為了有效提升校園健康照護品質，應強化學校護理師的進階角色功能，發展進階的學校護理師的專業角色定位，並期待未來學校護理工作能朝更專科化、更積極與正向的方向發展，以利學生健康照護之發展，及有效提升學校護理師的專業形象。

With the advances in medical technology and changes in learning technique, disease pattern, and lifestyle habit, the perspectives of disease prevention and health promotion are particularly important to promote people's health. They also are true in the school health care. Indeed, these aspects have provided the school nurse a specific basis to the mission of promoting healthy living on campus. In human life, the school is very important study place. The largest school health goal is to maintain student's health, and further the students can be have good health habits, and develop lifelong healthy behavior. Given the fact that the school nurse is a profession that can have great effect on the development and modification of the children's health habits, the role of the school nurse should not be overlooked and needs to be redefined in order to maximize its true functions. The purpose of this article was to discuss two important issues in terms of the need for having a advanced School Nurse in the campus and the role and capability of the nurse. It was done based on literature review and persistent reflections on personal working experiences as a school nurse in an elementary school. Strategies to promote the quality of school health care and strengthen the role and function of a school nurse are proposed as well. It is expected that the paper can serve as a catalyst for Advanced School Practice Nurse to promote better health care on campus. In the future, the school nursing practice can be more specialization and more active and positive direction development, further to help the development of student's health care, and effectively enhances the professional image of the school nurse.
