透過社交媒體，人們除了可以進行資訊的交換之外，也可以與他人分享情感與經驗。目前的社交媒體，比較欠缺一對一的互動設計機制，無法及時瞭解與告知對方彼此的狀態與心情，也比較無法融入互動交流的愉悅感。本研究提出一個新的情感交流互動媒體ECOM（Emotional Communication），透過虛擬角色的動態圖像與虛擬角色之間的互動，來達成互動雙方在情感上的交流，經由實驗結果顯示，ECOM能有效作為情感交流的媒介，在使用ECOM前後，雙方的親近感也有顯著地提升效果。

In addition to exchanging information, peoples can also share emotions and experiences though the social media. However, current media is still lack of one-to-one interaction design to let the users know the status and moods of each other in real time, besides, the enjoyment of interaction could not be embedded into the platform. In this study, we proposed a new interactive media for emotional communication, the ECOM, which applied themotion graphics of virtual characters and the interactions between the virtual characters to reveal the emotional connectedness. As the experiments showed, the ECOM can be used as an efficient media for emotional communication, furthermore, the closeness between users could be improved significantly.
