當今資訊爆炸時代,繁雜且龐大的資訊透過網路快速傳播,在此背景下,各界不約而同發展「資料視覺化」,以視覺化圖像呈現資料特性、幫助資訊正確傳達。而資料經過視覺化整理會更具焦,理解門檻能大幅降低。因前述背景,本研究欲瞭解資料視覺化的應用,是否能提升國小學童對社會領域之學習動機。為達成研究目的,本研究採取個案研究法,以基隆市某國小四年級學童為對象,對其進行觀察記錄以及學習動機量表分析,檢視資料視覺化的應用對於國小學童對社會領域學習動機有何種影響。研究發現,資料視覺化的運用,有助學童降低「測驗焦慮」;但是對學童「學科價值」與「自我效能」的提升相對不明顯。

英文摘要

Data Visualization is the graphical representation of information and data, which helps people catch the message more quickly and correctly. The purpose of this study was to explore if data visualization is able to improve learning motivation of elementary school students within social studies. This study took place in a fourth-grade class in an elementary school in Keelung. The document analysis and the survey of questionnaire are applied to the questionnaire of learning motivation in social study field. The major findings are as follows: Data visualization has declined student's "test anxiety" to social study, yet the influence on "self-efficacy" and "disciplinary values" is not distinct.
