本研究旨在瞭解某所公立國中的一名女主任和女校長互動所產生的情緒地理,以Hargreaves的情緒地理概念界定女主任與女校長互動中的性別特質、教育信念、專業主義、權力地位及溝通品質等面向,運用訪談法,使女主任述說與校長互動的情緒與感受。研究發現可歸納五點:(一)性別互動的情緒距離,同是女性的互動,女主任被要求承擔更多業務;在女主任領導處室不力時,受到校長的責難;(二)有關道德目的,女主任與女校長在辦學經營、管教學生及任務執行等教育信念存有差距;(三)在專業距離方面,主任與校長皆持有彈性專業主義,精進教學專業;(四)學校是權力競逐的場域,主任與校長在政治距離有所拉距;(五)在物理距離方面,女主任經常主動與校長溝通,積極提昇溝通品質。

英文摘要

This study aimed at understanding the emotional geographies between a female school director and her principal of a public junior high school. Drawing on emotional geographies defined by Hargreaves, the study examined gender characteristics, educational beliefs, professionalism, power status, and communication quality by Interviewing the female director as she reflected on her emotions and feelings. Research findings revealed five points: (1) emotional distance of gender interaction, the female director was expected to be more tolerant and was asked to take on more responsibilities; When her leadership came under question, she was also expected to assume more accountability; (2) About moral purpose , gaps between their educational beliefs existed in aspects such as school management, student discipline, and administration strategies as the female director and the principal, (3) In terms of professional distance, both driven by flexible professionalism, continue to refine teaching practice and professional development. (4) The school campus is the field of power play of their political distance. (5) In terms of physical closeness, the female director often engage frequent interactions with her leadership that can be a positive influence on the quality of communication.
