The display of historical applications is diverse and innovative with the development of science and technology. Because of this, teachers and students are facing the same issue: how can teachers with non-technical background to guide students to learn and produce modern historical application results (output) through group cooperation learning. In this case, students can achieve the purpose of study (outcome), and then discuss the impact on teachers, students and community members after the integration of learning and application. These elements combine as the research motivation of innovative teaching in this paper. The university social responsibility (USR) research project provided an opportunity for my teaching, this paper is combined the professional knowledge of students in the Department of History with the rich cultural context and historical landscape in Tamsui to innovate and activate the local literature and history. We were based on historical facts and used the method of design thinking, through virtual reality (VR) technology to create a film about McKay's pulling teeth story. Through this VR film, visitors can have different experience of learning Tamsui history. Naturally, there are different ideas and interpretations of how it can be presented by visitors. The purpose of this paper is to explore the teaching mode of team cooperative learning and relating to contemporary issues. The researchers take a world history course and students as the research object, and get the feedback from tourist after they watched the VR video results by tourist questionnaires. We find that team cooperative learning is helpful for group emotional communication and professional knowledge learning, including the expression of positive and negative emotions. Tourists are relatively sure to use virtual reality as a way to understand history, but they are still relatively unfamiliar with the operation and presentation of VR films. In addition, some of these students go to the cultural and creative industries after graduation, or continue to study for a master's degree in history.
